Make us hungry for your Word.
Thirsty for your Presence.
More so than we are hungry or thirsty for food and drink.
What would our life be like if we were as passionate about meeting with you in prayer and reading your Word as we are about eating and drinking???
Father, help us to have great desire and joy in prayer and reading the Word - not to do it all as a "duty".
Teach us how to read and to study your Word - And to hide your Word deep within our hearts and spirits ...
That we won't be so quick and easy to sin against you.
We need to feed the good and right and just ... the "white dog".
Show us how you look upon us. What you think. What you feel.
And help us to look at ourselves that way. As well as looking at one another the way you do.
With "Heaven's eyes" ...
God, help me!!!
It is no longer "I" who lives, but Christ who lives in me.
Are others seeing Jesus in me?
The true and good and right Jesus?
Or the one tainted by my own humanity?
Am I living as a "little Christ" today?
To those around me?
God, help me please.
At what point do we GROW UP???
Either we believe in you, believe your Word - or we don't.
If we do believe, then when do we allow it to change our lives?
To transform us to the likeness of your image?
God, forgive us.
God, help us.
You are with us always - help me to remember that.
Help me to turn my eyes on Jesus and let the things of this earth, this world, this life ALL grow dim in the light of your glory and grace.
