Thank you God for these promises!!! What a joy, a comfort and a strength for this day they are!
v. 4 - 5 ... how many times I have felt this very way! If not physically, certainly spiritually, emotionally and mentally!
v. 6 ... oh the promise of deliverance!
vv. 7 - 15 ... Let God arise! Let all His enemies be scattered!
Do we as parents get angry when our children are mistreated in any way? Have you ever "gone to bat" for one of your children? Where do we get this attitude? From our God and Father!!!
v. 16 - 19 ... How precious are these words!
"He reached down from on high and took hold of me; he drew me out of deep waters. He rescued me from my powerful enemy, from my foes, who were too strong for me. They confronted me on the day of my disaster, but the Lord was my support. He brought me out into a spacious place; he rescued me because he delighted in me."
v. 20 - 24 ... I am not perfect. I fail. I fall. I get too easily entangled in sin. But - God knows my heart. And thanks be to Him - my heart is pure. My heart is towards God always.
v. 28 - 29 ... "You, O Lord, keep my lamp burning; my God turns my darkness into light. With your help I can advance against a troop; with my God I can scale a wall."
Without God I am nothing, I can do nothing.
With God - all things are possible!!!
vv. 30 - 50 ... Praise be to the Lord God Almighty!!! He is God ... I am not!
The victory is ours because the victory is HIS!!!
