"It is fitting" -
yes it is. Because the Lord is worthy to be praised and worshipped and adored. He IS God!
v 3 ... "skillfully" -
does that mean perfect? I don't think so. I think it means to the best of our ability. Do your best for the Lord. However you can worship Him and praise Him - do your best.
v. 10 ... "The Lord foils the plans of the nations; he thwarts the purposes of the peoples."
What a comfort to know that no matter what is going on around us - God is still in control. Even in those times that it sure doesn't feel like or look like it - He is.
v. 11 ... "But the plans of the Lord stand firm forever, the purposes of His heart through all geneartions."

v. 12 ... "BLESSED IS THE NATION WHOSE GOD IS THE LORD, THE PEOPLE HE CHOSE FOR HIS INHERITANCE."

v. 13 - 15 ... we don't escape the watchful eye of the Father. He sees. He knows.
v. 16 - 17 ... what we trust in. When we should be trusting in Jesus alone.
v. 18 - 19 ... "But the eyes of the Lord are on those who fear Him, on those whose hope is in His unfailing love, to deliver them from death and keep them alive in famine."
I need this promise today. I need this reassurance. Claiming it. Loving the Lord. Trusting in Him.
v. 22 ... "May your unfailing love rest upon us, O Lord, even as we put our hope in you."
Rest ... "refreshing quiet"
... "relief or freedom from anything that wearies, troubles or disturbs"
... "a period of solitude, repose, tranquility"
The Lord's love RESTS upon
