My baby, Cheyenne. Always in my heart. Missed like crazy!
Some people need to realize the truth of these words!
Our thoughts and prayers are with Luke Perry’s family.
Luke, thank you for being a part of the western world.
You honored Lane Frost in a way that will be remembered forever and we are truly grateful to you for that. Rest easy, Luke.
I was his Yellow Rose of Texas.
I miss hearing him sing it to me, while his arms were wrapped around me from the back.
His throaty voice, full of love & passion.
A simple thought: If someone you care about seems to have changed, ASK (without judgment or accusation) what is wrong. The battles within can be so strong that it becomes outwardly evident. Often, the one being battered by thoughts & fears does not know how or when to start the conversation. Same principle as when someone is drowning - do you wait for them to ask for a life preserver, or to tell you how to rescue them?
Happy Heavenly Birthday Momma ♥ I miss you so much. I wish I could call you & tell you just how much I love you. ♥ Give that husband of mine a big sugar on the cheek 😍
Texas Independence Day is the celebration of the adoption of the Texas Declaration of Independence on March 2, 1836. With this document signed by 59 delegates, settlers in Mexican Texas officially declared independence from Mexico and created the Republic of Texas.
March is Kidney Awareness month. In honor of my husband, Rick McCoy. All it takes is a simple blood test to find out how healthy (or not) your kidneys are. If your kidneys are not healthy, and caught early - the kidney diet/nutrition program is awesome at helping to repair and rebuild your kidneys. Rick received the diagnosis of Acute Kidney Disease with Renal Failure in January of 2012. His kidneys were functioning only at 21%. We were told that he could possibly live another 20 years without dialysis if he followed the diet/nutrition/exercise program. He was doing so good ... his kidneys improved to 27% in less than 6 months. Then, he got hurt at work, had to have surgery ... and his kidneys failed to less than 15%. Had we known about this simple blood test, we could have had him on the program for a lot longer, and the surgery would not have done what it did. Please - ask your doctor for the blood test that will tell you the BUN. I love you Rick - we tried, didn't we Sweetheart? I miss you.

This is concerning:
60% of U.S. college students consider themselves to have a cell phone addiction.
71% of people sleep with or next to their cell phones.
35% of people think of their cell phones when they wake up while only 10% of people think of their significant others.
44% of 18-24 year olds have fallen asleep with their phone in their hand.
36% of people check their phones constantly, while 54% of young adults are checking constantly.
Nearly 40% of people never disconnect from cell phones, even while on vacation .
44% of Americans say they couldn’t go a day without their mobile devices.
Sadly, these statistics do not include pre-teen & teenage users. Teen Cell Phone Addiction
I took this test some time ago, and I was shocked (dismayed) that I scored as high as I did. In the time since, I have tried hard to make changes. This morning I took the test and although the score is still higher than I want it to be, it is lower :) So I count that as a step of victory in the right direction. Now to continue working towards a lower score. I can do this! I will have a cell phone, but the cell phone will not have me! 💪There is a life to be lived without looking at the screen … people around me to interact with … and I need to spend some precious time with ME, cause I am worth it. I like having a cell phone to stay in touch with family & friends, for information when I need it - BUT, it needs to be a tool in this life. NOT life itself.
Take the test for yourself. Have someone who observes you regularly take it on your behalf. Take the test from your perspective as a parent or grandparent. Believe me, it is a wake up call - to LIFE!
I have been sick the last 6 weeks. Coughing. Congestion. Crud. Feeling miserable, out of breath, sore.
Compounded by changes at work, and I have lost a month of sharing the day to day things.
Whoever said, "Sticks and stones may break the bones, but words will never harm" did NOT know one thing about life. No matter how strong you build the walls around your heart to guard and protect, some words find their way thru (or over/under). Wishing I were a duck this morning, or at least had the same protection they have - you know, that oiliness on their feathers to make the water just roll on off. Sigh. If that stuff could be packaged to put around the heart? $$Millions$$ could be made immediately! Sigh
Good morning Y'all ☕☕️☕️
Thank you to all who supported me during this most recent Facebook jail time.
I promise to do better at being "good".
To only post pretty pictures, funny memes, cute videos, and uplifting words.
A picture wishing Jimmy Page a Happy Birthday + a picture of Niagara Falls frozen in 1911 = landed me in Facebook jail THIS TIME! *shaking my head*
Which most likely means that no matter what I post or share, it will happen again.
As long as I am a target of someone's frustration & anger.
To whoever has done this: Bring it on! Take your best shot.
You can't keep a strong Southern woman down.
Yes, this has given me pause to think, it has also changed a part of me deep within. I
f you didn't like me before?
There is the distinct possibility - no, a high probability … no, almost a solid guarantee - you won't like me now!
In the words of my Sweetheart, "Whatever it takes for you to sleep at night",
I shall take the high road, and Karma WILL have your ass!
Bless your heart!

Guess I needed a break from Facebook.
In some ways, it has been kind of nice. Less drama.
But in other ways? I miss the interaction with others. And I miss sharing my thoughts as I go thru the day.
Why this page?
I wanted a place to share my daily thoughts, and although I use Facebook & Twitter to do just that, I realize that many people are getting fed up with all the drama that is on either, and both. So many that were using those 2 social medias to stay in touch, have taken a step back - yet they still want to know thoughts that go thru this scattered widow's brain. If you are interested, here it is :) - - without the drama.
