Got in to Morningstar late Sunday afternoon. Rick put a day cab truck under the trailer so that he didn't have to sit there with the load.
Quick stop at Wal-mart for a few things ... on to the house ...
I sent a message to the kids letting them know where we were. Mandy texted me back - and after a few minutes, it was decided that since they were already in town, they could come out to the house for a quick throwed together supper. :-)
Hot dogs, sandwiches, chips and dip, drinks, watermelon.
Lots of laughter. Hugs and kisses.
After supper with the kids and grandkids - Rick and I watched a movie, Joyful Noise. Excellent movie. Good message. Laughter and tears.
Yesterday morning, Memorial Day, Rick called dispatch. He was told to just call back in the afternoon. :-)!!! A day off!!!
We spent the day together ... did 3 loads of laundry, a load of dishes, visited with Rick's parents.
I put some pictures and songs together in honor of Memorial Day - not for sale, just as an honor to all those who have served and sacrificed.
Made a rice casserole - Jasmine rice, browned hamburger meat, english peas & carrots, broccoli, cheese sauce, cream of mushroom soup, seasonings. All mixed together. Pour into casserole dish. Top with Velveeta slices. Bake until hot thru and cheese is melted. GOOD!!!
Also made my Momma's squash cornbread. OMW!!! I was so hungry for that!!! And it was GOOD!!!
Finished supper with ice cold watermelon. The best tasting watermelon we have had in a long, long time. Even Rick enjoyed it!
I am working on my pictures - trying to get them uploaded and organized. What a task!!! As soon as I can get caught up - I am going to make an album and post it on here.
Not sure what today will be - work wise. Rick was told yesterday afternoon to call in this morning. And so far, Rick is still sleeping! LOL
I find myself wishing for another day here.
We are praying and seeking God's direction for our lives. Surely there is some way that God can use us
