![]() How does time go by so quickly??? I came here this morning to make a blog post, and i see that it has been just a few days short of a month since i have written ... Again! Yes, we have been busy - and off grid some, but i just didn't realize it was that long! LOL... ![]() We did go to Barefoot Bay for a week - tried out the RV. Everything worked! Praise the Lord! We knew when we went that it would take a while to work all the "kinks" out. But thankfully, we haven't found many! This is our 5th RV - and by far, my favorite!!!!! After a week here, we went back to the house for a few days. Unload some stuff, load some other stuff. One week and we realized what we had taken that was too much, and what we had forgotten! Spent a little time with Rick's parents, and with Mandy and the kids. Saw Pat and Charlie. Laughing ... loving ... living. ![]() Then, we went to Brazos Hideaway. We got to the area after dark, so I called James (the owner) to ask for the "for sure" directions. He started to tell me, but then said - "Let me just meet you at the end of the road and lead you down here." Ok ... So, true to his word, he was sitting at the end of the road and led us ... Oh my!!! Rick was driving the Dodge and pulling the RV. I was following in the Honda. All i could see was RV twisting and turning, rocking from side to side. All i could feel was the rough road! I kept praying that this guy really did know his way, and that he wasn't some kind of serial killer taking us to some dark place to do injury! (Yes, i have an active imagination at times! LOL) Finally - we were there. An actual RV park!!! LOL James helped us get everything set up and settled in for the night. We finally called it a night and went to bed. And the next morning - we were greeted with some of the most massive Live Oak and Pecan trees that we have ever seen! We were about 50 feet from the Brazos River! Really a pretty spot to be in! And the cafe there has good homecooked food, too!!! We stayed there a week - spent time with Joshua, Dessie, Shell & Kyla. :) ... Shell and Kyla spent the night with us - which was a BIG thing to Kyla! LOL Didn't go back to the house from there ... ![]() We went to Coffee Creek RV park ... And yes - it was chosen for 2 reasons ... (1) Scott, the owner, had put an ad on the Work Camping website wanting/needing a work camper to help out in the park & (2) the Name!!! Anyone who knows me is NOT surprised to find out that we are parked somewhere that has COFFEE!!!!! LOL At this set up - Rick and i did it by ourselves! We had had help everywhere else, and would have had it here ... but we did it!!! Oh we were tired and worn out afterwards! But we did it! ![]() Scott is furnishing our lot and electricity in exchange for 2-4 hours a day helping out here at the park. We have cleaned the bathrooms, cleaned cabins, escorting RV'er's in, pick up and take the trash off, cleaned the meeting houses. And had a BLAST!!!!! These are the BEST people to be with, to work along side of. Scott's dad and mom do a lot here - and they truly are salt and light in this world!!! I have already come to love and adore Don & Mary Ann!!! This is a Christian RV park - which is REALLY nice!!!!! We meet at the office around 9 a.m. to get our assignments for the day - after COFFEE!!! Coffee, conversation, prayer requests, praise reports and a LOT of laughter - what a wonderful way to start the day! So thankful that God has blessed us with this RV ... and with an awesome place to work camp! Hoping that God will choose to use us here a LONG time :-)!
