![]() Lab report ... Rick's total blood count before surgery was at 8.1 ... after surgery -- 8.9!!! Doctor was well pleased. Not as high as he would like to see it, but better than expected. Also - Rick's potassium was NORMAL!!! This is something that we have been fighting since January of this year!!! Praise the Lord!!! He is going to physical therapy 3 days a week. He has said that for the most part, not so bad. The pulley exercise hurt the first day ... but not so much yesterday. Climbing the wall with his fingers - well, he has "blessed" that exercise a few times already! Still working on his range of motion exercises. Jeff said that his range of motion is very good, he is well pleased with it. Strength training due to start before too much longer. But thankfully, Jeff is really being careful with Rick. Such a relief and blessing in that! Jeff and Heather are AWESOME at the ETMC rehab center in Sulphur Springs!!! I am so thankful that God has placed them in our lives. We had heard absolute horror stories about physical therapists for the shoulder/rotator cuff. But we cannot say enough good about the kindness and compassion shown to Rick thru this from Jeff and Heather. Thank y'all SO MUCH!!! Going to Dr. Bengston this morning down at the clinic in Winnsboro. Rick gets his staples removed!!! Praying for little to no pain or discomfort in that. 3 weeks post surgery now. Catheter site seems to be healing good. There is a little redness around it, but according to what the nurses have said - it is more a redness of healing with a little irritation than anything wrong. They assure us that it looks good and "normal".
